I carried a manual treadmill onto a remote hiking trail in East Tennessee. Unsuspected hikers came across a piece of walking technology with a trail camera mounted near it. Some engaged the treadmill, others took selfies, some ignored it. This piece looks at the multitude of ways that we engage technology in the landscape.
